Leading online retailer Master of Malt is bolstering its support for the UK drinks industry in response to the COVID-19 crisis by offering payments ahead of schedule for its small suppliers.

Master of Malt has today announced a new scheme to support its small suppliers during the unprecedented COVID-19 crisis.

The multi-award-winning online retailer recognises that cashflow is of critical importance during these exceptional times, and is such accelerating payments for its small suppliers.

Most buying terms are settled over 60 days, however Master of Malt is committing to settling payments to all the small businesses it works with over the next few days irrespective of when they are due.

“We understand how difficult things are for many of our smaller suppliers right now, so we're implementing an early payment programme to help them out with their cash flow,” said Master of Malt CEO, Justin Petszaft.

“If we owe you money, even if it isn't due for a month or two, and getting paid sooner would make a significant difference to your ability to operate, please drop us an email at earlypayments@masterofmalt.com, and we will get whatever we owe you across in the next few days.

“Together, we'll get through this.”

Last week, Master of Malt announced it had partnered with Beer Hawk to pledge that £1 for every order placed during the next month would go into a fund administered by Hospitality Action to support the UK’s vital bar and restaurant trade - read here.
